MIRROR: TONDO
Camille Viallet et Théo Leclercq
DESCRIPTION
Tondo is a wall-mounted mirror, the design of which was guided by the technique of bent steel wire. A simple continuous line, on which rests a mirror. To simplify the production process, the mirror is of standard size (Ø 20cm). It is the structure around it which shapes the wall mirror as a whole.
The piece of steel wire holds the mirror, which is simply slid into place with no further fixing required. The mirror is independent of the structure in which it sits, being held in place by the steel wire as it returns upwards. The overall effect is a play on balance and asymmetry.
